Make an Account Inactive

Here's how to make a customers account inactive.

Note:  An account cannot be made inactive if it has a tank assigned to it and/or it has a balance owed.

 

1. Find the account you want to make inactive by using one of the following:

Account Number

Bill To Last Name

Company Name

Bill To Street Number

Bill To Street Name

Phone Number

Serial Number

Delivery Street Number

Delivery Street Name

People Associated with an Account

 

2. Regardless of how you get to the account, the detail account screen for that customer will be displayed.

3. Left-click the tab.

4. This will display the Miscellaneous Info window.

5. Left-click the "No" radio button:  

6. Left-click the button.

7. If you are trying to delete an account that HAS tanks assigned and/or DOES NOT have a zero balance, this window will be displayed:

 

8. Left-click the button and the account will NOT be be made inactive and you will return to the account screen

9. If you are trying to make an account inactive that does NOT have tanks assigned to it and DOES have a zero balance, no message will appear and the account will immediately be "inactive".
