Shortcuts . . .

There are a number of keyboard shortcuts and "tricks" that you may or may not know about

that makes using the Lynx system even easier to use.

For instance . . . Let's say you're entering a batch of invoices and the phone rings and you

need to find out something about a customer. You could close the batch, return to the Main

Menu, select Find a Customer, and then look them up. When you're done, you would have to

close the customer record, find the batch you were working on, and then find where you left

off when the phone rang. HOWEVER, there's a much easier way:

When the phone rings, simply click on the key and the letter F (for "find"). This will

immediately take you to the Find a Customer window. When you're done, simply hit the

button and you will immediately return to the screen you were working on when the phone

rang (in fact, the cursor will even be positioned exactly where you left it). Pretty slick.

There are other shortcuts similar to this as well. For instance:

Click on the key and the letter A to "Add a Customer"

Click on the key and the letter P to "Add a Product"

Click on the key and the letter T to "Add a Tank"

Latest Versions . . .

The latest version of the Lynx software is 7.7.50.136. To check which version

of the software you have on your system, go to the Main Menu, left-click on "Help" and then

left-click on "About...".

The latest version of the Help System is 4.36. To check which version of the Help System

you have, go to any Help topic (it doesn't matter which one) and left-click on the word "Help"

near the top of the window on the second line and then left-click on the word "Version".
